Guidelines for those interested in submitting material

This site welcomes material from those without access to a WWW server on which they can mount their material. I do not wish to set up any guidelines regarding content, so long as the material is likely to be of interest to Egyptologists.

IMPORTANT: If you wish to submit information from newspaper articles etc, please do not type them out verbatim, but rather send me a paraphrase. News agencies seem rather touchy on this copyright issue.

Also, some notes about filenames etc. are in order to make it easier for me to make your material available.

• Please remember that systems can have case sensitive filenames. So do be consistent: WWW.HTML and www.html are not the same.

• Some UNIX shells don't like certain characters in filenames. So please stick to letters and digits only.

• Files in HTML will not be accessed properly from some systems if they do not have a .html suffix. DOS users please note!

I hope nothing here will make undue difficulties for contributors.
